Rufi Cole received her MFA from the University of Virginia in 2009. Her first novel, The Violin Face, was serialized by Seizure Magazine in Australia, and then brought out in hard cover by their publishing imprint, Xou, in Fall 2010. Her short stories have appeared in The Adirondack Review, the OCC Review, Hubris Magazine and others. Currently, she teaches at Laguna College of Art + Design.
